Happy Birthday, Michael

I think all mothers reminisce when the day arrives mirroring the birth of her child. August 3rd was and still is such an important date in my world, in our world. Little did I know nor did I understand on that day, that a child would be born to change many, many lives in his space and time. I know that I am still amazed at your creativity, Michael. Not only did you create sketches and Silly Putty figurines and and soldier figurines and tiny statues, you painted with oils and watercolors and created murals in the country of Uganda to help the people there to learn without words. With the stroke of a pen, the dash of a brush, the thoughts of an artist named Michael , there were and will be many lives changed for decades. I am certain of that.
Sometimes I travel in my mind instead of on an airplane to all of the places you have gone, Michael. I look on in amazement at your achievements and at your kind works completed, always completed for others. I think of how you exist without many props or possessions or ladders to success. You are your own being. Treasures such as these come only to the human beings that have the mind space that welcome the treasures for their real worth.
Wishing you decades of wonder filled birthdays, Michael. Your legacy runs on forever. I love you, Son.
